Plex jail died (again)

EDIT: It took too much time, so problem is not solved, but i just setup a new jail and new library to have it work.

Wow since i am back in jails i have all the problems again!
I hate jails!!!! Sure they need less recources but they break all the time and have to install it all again and setup.... i am getting so frustrated about this!
Please somebody i need help!
Yesterday i needed to install plex again, day before too and... you guess what.... today again!

Please help! It is just that the server is not reacheable any more, the service is running and i can not reach it even restart jail or restart fn11 won't work!
What to install again and have my metadata so won't have to setup everything again this is making me so angry! All the time this ^*(#@%^&*!% old FN shit shits on me.... i miss docker!

I just connected when i got kicked and the server got unreacheable and from that point on it does not work anymore this happens all the time.

I tried normal plex and plex pass but it does not matter

No smart errors nor errors when i did a scrub so it is something really strange that let the thing die

You probably already know this, but if you're looking for a more stable experience then stop using the bleeding edge versions!

I'm running FreeNAS 9.10.1-U4 and Plex 1.5.5 and haven't had a single issue with either.

Pleas this is really not relevant for this situation i am sure about this i am not the only one running in ESXi and there are no good working alternatives for my setup.
Also it is no help to only start about this i need to know why plex crashes

Check your jails advanced settings and make sure they don't have the same MAC address causing a conflict. A few users have been reporting this problem lately.

Hardware specs are just in my sign....
ESXi 96Gb EEC ram Xeon E5-2658v4 host with FN11 RC4 ( i know it is still not the final release but i would like to find a problem and not people start to get angry why things are not working when it is released) 64Gb reserved for FN11 and 16 cores.
I run 2 LSI 9211-8i IT (direct passthrough) with a bunch of disk for 3 zpools. One of them is for jails which are 2 64GB SSD's in mirror.
I had it working, copied some content in the mounted map. On data pool. Updated library and then lost connection.
Things i tried:
- restarted jail
- update, upgrade jail
- reboot FN11 vm

I know it will work in a new jail but why will it not work..... this happens now a couple of times and i would like to know why
Last logs from plex are empty files.

I already checked besides that i did not make new jails in that time. But i can check that again it would mean that the mac addresses changed out of knowere.... that would be a bug

You keep avoiding the fact that you haven't provided any information. As far as I know you don't even have Plex installed.

Well, when you make nonsensical universal statements that are inconsistent with the experience of the vast majority here, it's hard to take you very seriously. When you're running pre-release software and complaining about instability, it's hard to take you seriously. When you start a thread about a problem with pre-release software, and don't put it in the forums for testing pre-release software, more of the same.

But yeah, jails suck. Docker rules. Whatever.

At first i was running 9.10 then i saw that there was a FreeNAS 11- Stable Train so i thought they finished it, when installed i saw it was RC1. But i am now not going back so maybe making a stable train is not smart to start with.

Hello all,

I have a problem reagrding to jails in FN11 (RC3 and now RC4)
Plex jail is not reacheable anymore, service is running but for some reason the web gui is not reachable.
To be clear it was running, i had this also a couple of days ago but for some reason yesterday it stopped working again.
I tried the normal plex media server first, but after 2 days it was not reachable and then i created a new jail with plex-pass, but now after 1,5 days of running fine i have the same problem.

As you can see the service is running.
But when i try to reach it at IP:32400/web and also in plex.tv it can't find the server anymore, and not in apps DNLA is also not reachable.
I can't anymore, it stopped when i tried to let the library scan for new files.
I have no idea, i tried to restart the jail, update, upgrade and restart the whole FN11, also checked if the IP address was doubled and if the mac address of the jail was doubled but that was not the issue.
Also just did a forced install and that also did not do the trick.

I run FN11 in ESXi 6.5 with 16 cores avialeble of my E5-2658v4 and 64GB ECC reserved memory for just only this VM. 2x LSI9211-8i IT passthrough VM. I have some other jails running that are working fine at the moment.
Only thing i did what maybe involved is that i set all up already for the other Plex before that when i made the new jail i copied the macaddress from the old deleted jail.

Is tere a reason why this happend or any way to find this out?
Also for now important is there a way to get this working again or do i have to install again an set everything up again from the start?

How are your jails getting their IP address, static or DHCP? With other jails working and the Plex service running it sure sounds like an IP conflict.
