Hi All,
I am trying out truescale and installed Photoprism via Charts. I am able to access the webui of Photoprism, but I am not sure of default username password
I have tried the below but getting invalid credentials for all - any help?
  • admin/admin
  • admin/password
  • admin/please_change

I guess the question is about the "official" app, since the TrueCharts app has an initial admin password parameter in the app setup, so I expect there's nothing to ask them about it.

With the container/app running, you can probably just attach to the shell and use this command:
photoprism passwd [username]

I have not tested that, just got it from the official docker docs for photoprism.

I mean, he specifically mentioned TrueCharts both in the title and the post...

Fair enough, but I figure it can only be confusion as the TrueCharts app is super-clear...

I don't see how you're asking that question if you've installed that app.

The official app, on the other hand, has nowhere to specify it.

I have confirmed that the command I listed above does indeed work (although it seems to ignore the username specified and set the admin password).

Surely you can't be serious.
Yes I can, and don't call me Surely. ; )

I would think that with that field on the first page of the setup, you're just not trying if you need to know how the admin password is set.

If somebody wants the answer, they should be prepared to look for it (right on the screen they have... or had) in front of them.

Clearly I'm being a little harsh on somebody who isn't showing much evidence of having put effort into seeking the solution. (I'm also doing quite a lot to spoon-feed it to them)

Also a new user, I believe the easiest way for me to troubleshoot local kubernetes installed is to use Portainer from Truecharts. Having installed official PhotoPrism, I can see that the default password for me was admin123 under key: password. Cheers

Thank you very much, brother_scud, I was finally able to install Photoprism on my Truenas Scale... but I was blocked at this password step, as I was not asked to choose one, and there is no indication of it anywhere.

Same here, nowhere to setup admin credentials when installing, admin123 worked
