After upgrading my shares are no longer accessible from WIN 10 like \\freenas\xxx but only with ip-adress. What can I do??
Same behaviour when creating a new share.

Did you change your local host name? You can try flushing dns if you're on windows to see if that helps.

Netbios was enabled.
I found a solution: I had to enable guest access for each share, not necessary in 11.3-U5

I think I'm having similar issues. Ive enabled Allow Guest Access but still cant see the files within my folder structure. Only the folders themselves are visible.

my was working under 11.3U5 but stopped working (other than for existing mapped devices/accounts) till i upgraded.

added "enable web service discovery=yes" to the smb auxillary parameters and problem was solved.

Yeah, that fails because it's an illegal parameter for a share. We do minimum validation of auxiliary parameters. In this case Samba's libparam is raising an exception about your parameter.
