SEAGATE 3TB EXPANSION DESKTOP DRIVE USB 3.0 3.5IN FALCON DESK (STBV3000100) - x4
Pareema 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model MD313D81609L2
Biostar TA75M Socket FM1/ AMD A75/ DDR3/ SATA3&USB3.0/ A&GbE/ MATX Motherboard MB-TA75M
Kingston DataTraveler G3 4GB Model DTIG3/4GBZ Memory (USB Flash Drive)
OCZ PSU
FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x64.img.xz - 74.4 MB
about 1 year later all the hdd were broken and replaced with western digital.
i'd also realised that the on-line guide that i followed - which said you don't need server quality hardware - was a little misleading. so i began to plan for replacing the m/b, cpu and memory. i also realised i needed an ups.
i sold my memory on ebay and i got more than what i'd originally paid for it. which was probably the only upside of following the original guide. that and learning how good and easy freenas was to use.
