Hi everyone.

I'm looking at building my first Server to use for home backup and for running Plex for home media center and on the go access (ie accessing at work)

I've picked out some hardware and wanted to get your thoughts and suggestions?

Case: Either "Fractal Design Node 804 Chassis" OR "Fractal Design Define R5"
CPU: "Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3"
Motherboard: Supermicro X10SL7-F"
RAM: Samsung DDR3 ECC 8Gb x2 (possibly might go for 32gb instead)
Power Supply: SeaSonic G-550
Additional Fans: Noctua PWM Fans
Storage: WD Red 4tb drives (probably two to start with then get more)

What are your thoughts on the above for a first build?

Thanks in advance.

Haven't decided yet if i should run of thumb drive or a SATA DOM or small SSD
Also started looking at UPS supply's
