First of all I must say that so far 8.2 has seemed like a really nice product (I just installed FreeNAS for the first time a few days ago) - keep up the good work!
Secondly tried to follow the link to the "roadmap" mentioned in one of the stick messagres but it seemed to have been removed. Where can a valid one be found?
Finally there are two things that (as far as I know) can't be done using the GUI that I would like to see in the future:
1. View and reset the various log files (just for the FreeNAS basic components is a start, even better if the activated services like CIFS etc was also included)
2. View the spin up / down status of each drive (a reasonable limitation could be that this only work with "standard" SATA disks and not with all kind of more or less odd SAS controlers, USB disks etc)
In particular the power management seems to be a bit tricky for noobs to figure out - I hav read several posts about it sugesting different commands that suposedly can be used to test and query PM related info but without really reading up a lot on the subject it seems hard to figure out what really works etc...
