I use: 1) Configure Network Interfaces
I get: The web interface could not be accessed. Please check network configuration.
I also have a different NIC card on order. The current one does not have a YottaMark sticker.

Yeah, wait for the new card and see if it works better

Is the IP address you assigned within your network? Are you able to ping that address from another computer on your network?
I have not assigned anything.

Router is 192.168.1.102
Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
Which computer? The one I'm trying to set up as the NAS or the one I'm on now?

Something has assigned 10.238.15.194 to TrueNAS.
By default (in a new install) TrueNAS is set to get an IP address from DHCP - Its extremely likely that the 10.238.15.194 comes from a DHCP Server somewhere

Looks to me like your network isn't what you think it is - or has other strange stuff on it

I suggest manually assigning 192.168.1.120 / 255.255.255.0 to TrueNAS through the console
I am assuming that your PC (the one you are on) has an address of 192.168.1.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.255.0

Let's wait for more troubleshooting until I receive the NIC with the Yottamark sticker.

Okay, new Intel NIC with the YottaMark sticker installed. I get the same result. IP of 0.0.0.0 and when I try selection 1) on the console I get: The web interface could not be accessed.

This is bordering on bizarre...

You have a cable plugged into your switch and a port on the modem - are there lights on at each end adjacent to the ports?

Known good cable and port. Lights at both ends that flicker.

OIK. that's good - and you have the console menu up?

Select option 1
You are looking for an interface named em0 - when it shows in the list, type the number adjacent to it to select it.

Hit n at the "remove current settings question"

Then try "y" at the configure for DHCP question

what's happened so far?

Has it now offered you an IPv4 address?

I entered the name for the router admin name. Next was Configure IPv6? I entered y. Next step? (I did say in the beginning that a lot of hand holding to set everything up would be necessary.)

you don't want an ipv6 config.

Did it offer you an IPv4 address ?
