I can't find grubx64 in 'boot from file' in my VM

I'm trying to install an ubuntu VM on my TrueNAS Scale system, and it takes me to the UEFI shell, so from there, I type 'exit' then navigate to 'Boot maintenance manager' then 'boot from file', and there is nothing listed there.

I have 1 WD Blue 320gb hhd (which is what the vm is booting off of)
and another hhd for the TrueNAS OS
