Hello, FreeNas world. I am totally a NOOB when it comes to Home server and the sort. Question however, when they talk about 8GB of ram is that on the installer flashdrive or is that 8GB on the PC I am using as the HOST Server? I used the ios and installed it on a 128GB mircoSD card? Any thoughts?

RAM is not a flash storage device, and an SD card of any flavor is not an appropriate boot device. Suitable boot devices, according to the manual, are USB sticks, SSDs (including SATA DOMs, which aren't mentioned in the manual, but are a special case of SSDs), and CompactFlash cards. The bare minimum system RAM for safe and reliable operation is 8 GB, and 16 GB is usually better.

I don't mean to be rude, but are you sure you're qualified to be messing around with computers? FreeNAS is not for the average clueless user and does require at least a minimum of knowledge in the following topics:
  • Networking
  • Computer hardware (assembling things, mostly)
  • BIOS settings
