I just setup my first FreeNAS(9.3) and I will probably be asking a few questions as I start to use it. I have had a Synology DS508 since 2008. Wonderful little machine but no major OS updates have been release for a few years now. It is currently sitting at 96% full which is the reason for putting together my FreeNAS system. I am a Linux user primary, Debian - Crunchbang #!/BunsenLabs, Debian Minimal/net-install w/ Openbox. Even with this I still consider myself a Linux newbie as I still have a lot to learn about these systems.
