Noobie NAS box hard drives configuration

Hi all. Noobie here! :) I need some advice. I will be running freenas in a usb drive on a Dell Dimension 4700. I will be installing a 1.5 TB (Samsung HD153WI EcoGreen) hard drive and two other small (Western Digital) hard drives less than 100 gb each.

1. Will it be a must to partition the 1.5tb hard drive? Two, three partitions?
2. Is the jumper configuration as follows?
-jumper set to master for the 1.5TB hard drive?
-jumper set to slave for WD hard drives?

Thanks in advance.

I will be using this NAS box for a homeshare for storing media and share it with few computers in my house.

1. No need to partition
2. If you use SATA then you don't need to change jumper settings.

Hi Rudi. Thanks for the info. Yes I am using SATA and those jumpers are gone! Thanks again for your help.
