I recently purchased this product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENKYJB4/
After purchasing this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DD28XG/

Here's four pictures of them side by side.

The one on the right corresponds to the one labeled on amazon as CP06-E4, the one on the right is labeled CPO6 (listed as an add-on item).

For the second two pictures I inadvertently switched them as I was showing the flexibility of the cables, and the actual connector inside the adapter.

As you can see, one of them has 5 cables running through, and the other has 4. It also feels a lot cheaper / more flimsy, but it looks surprisingly similar still.

I strongly suspect that the four wire version is the current standard, the 3.3VDC wire is likely not present (typically the Orange wire next to the "L" portion of the plug). The 3.3VDC power line is no longer part of the power specification.

I hate to see this nonsense gaining traction. There was no serious need for a reset pin on the SATA connector and the idea should've died where it started. Its only purpose is to completely destroy backward compatibility with older SATA hardware.

Someone thought a reset would be a good idea at some point in time.
