External USB drives and boot issues.

I am using the new beta and have encountered some odd problems, most of which I have managed.

I have a pc that cannot boot from a USB drive so I added a small laptop form factor drive to boot. That works great until I add a high speed USB PCI card. The only way I can get the system to boot with the card in place is to add flash drive to it and install the system on both the flash drive and the small hard drive.

My remaining problem is the system will not recognize an external USB drive plugged into the same card.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found a way around the problem but it is strange. If I install to the hard drive then the flash drive external devices do not work. If I install to the flash drive then the hard drive external USB drives work find. BTW, I tried 3 different USB cards.
