I don't think the G31 chipset on that motherboard is supported by FreeBSD/FreeNAS. That board only supports up to 4 GB of non-ECC RAM and FreeNAS requires a minimum of 8 GB ECC RAM so it is not appropriate hardware anyway.
ok, so after the import volume failed, I tried to setup hdd with UFS volume manager (legacy) and it seems to be working now, however I had to erase the hard drives, lucky I had data on a backup
Something similar happened to me. I am trying to import a volume that is formatted UFS and has worked on another FREENAS system. Unfortunately I don't have the config file to upload. The hard drives have data on them, so I don't want to lose it. When I import a volume, it works, but only shows 823.5 KiB of space for a 1.5TB hard drive. Is there anyway to reverse the import and try again? Or is there some way I could fix this? Thank you
