create own Plugins

Hello everybody,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread like this, if so please share the link with me, that would be very nice.
My question is, if there is any option to create a FreeNAS Plugin by myself and install it on my Server?

I'm looking for an Plugin like Plex but for Games (Web Based with meta data, Covers, etc.) and I didn't found anything like I imagined (the GameBrowser Plugin for Emby doesn't work as I intend) so I like to create my own Plugin but I'm not quite sure how to start and later how to install it.
Would be nice if anybody has an idea or at least tell if something like this I possible
