As shown in the attached screens, I have an Apple share named TVSHOWS. I'm trying to give my Plex jail the authority to access this folder, so that I can access the folder on my Plex GUI.

When I try to add this TVSHOWS folder via the Plex GUI, it is not shown as an option when I browse for it. (refer screen).

I'm a newbie at this. Hopefully I've provided enough info to get some suggestions.

You didn't add the mount point containing the TV Shows directory to your plex jail's storage.

Thanks so much for the quick response.
Could you please tell me how to do this mount point addition.
I'm still on a pretty steep learning curve. Thanks again.

Follow the same procedure you did to add the /mnt/prime/MOVIES, PHOTOS, and KIDS. Or pick the main "PRIME" location and mount that at /mnt/media (or whatever you want to call it).

Thanks again. I should have mentioned before, this freenas was initially installed by my son, who is unavailable right now to help.

If you could give me more explicit instructions on how to go about following your suggestions, I'd very much appreciate it. I'm assuming I can do it all thru the web GUI?

See the button there that says 'Add Storage'? Click it.

Mount storage through the menu that pops up. It will mimic the config you already have, but with a different path.

It seems I tried that exact step several times, but obviously I screwed up somehow. At your suggestion, I tried it again and IT WORKED.

Many thanks for your prompt and patient help. I'd like to mark this post as SOLVED, but don't know how to do it.

Thanks again.
