How is this config working out for you a year later?
I am looking at a very similar setup myself:
MOBO: SuperMicro X10SAE LGA1150 Intel C226
RAM: 2x Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3/DDR3L 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800)
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230
HBA Cards:
1x 9220-8i LSI
1x 9210-8i LSI
Network Adapter: I am looking to get a 10GbE card. How is the MELLANOX working out for you?
HDD:
pool A RaidZ2 w/ ZIL
1x 4TB WD blue
1x 4TB seagate desktop HDD
3x 4TB WD red
1x SSD for ZIL

Pool B RaidZ2 w/ ZIL
4x 2TB WD red
3x 2TB Seagate barracuda

Pool C
2x 3TB Dell Constellation SAS drives
PSU: 650watt corsair

Have you monitored your power consumption? I also live in a hot climate. :D What is the use case for your system? In my case it's for iSCSI target and NFS shares. My VMs run on a separate server in the same rack.
