So i have an old Hp micro n54l I have been running esxi 6.5 on usb boot for years. I installed Truenas scale on it and it will run perfect a long as it never loses power.
I installed boot on a 256gb nvme on a usb adapter plugged into the onboard usb slot.
I can reboot fine. I can power off from the gui fine. it boots back up fine. But if I unplug the server and let it sit for more than 30 seconds it will only boot to grub rescue.
running ls on the boot drive just shows error: unknown file system for all 4 partitions on it.
any clues??
