Hello, I mounted my NAS with TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 and SMB pool for Windows. Backup of a Photoshop file was interrupted and the file became unusable. I was convinced to have configured a periodic snapshot, but it seems not.

Well, do you get snapshots listed with zfs list -t snap poolname/path/to/dataset? If not, there's really nothing anyone can do.

This is ambiguous. Were you editing with Photoshop a .psd file in-place that lives on your server?

Or was this a .psd file that exists on your client PC that you tried to copy over (copy, rsync, backup software, etc) to your TrueNAS server?

Try running a scrub.
If that yields different results, OP has bigger problems than a single file corrupted at the application layer.

Yeah, you have only a minimal amount of snapshots and none covering actual user data.
You should look into fixing your snapshot tasks.

Yes, I have created a periodic snapshot tasks after this incident.
Regarding the Photoshop file, the conclusion is definitely lost ?

If you don't have a backup and a scrub doesn't solve your issue, I believe so.

That's something of a Photoshop-specific question the user community can probably help out with better than we can. From TrueNAS' point of view, there's nothing that can be done.
