Hi, my NAS system is currently running 9.10 stable and I realized there is now an 11. I want to update but my NAS box is coming back with this:
Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/www/freenasUI/../freenasUI/system/views.py", line 1460, in update_check
train=updateobj.get_train(),
File "/usr/local/www/freenasUI/../freenasUI/system/models.py", line 586, in get_train
trains = conf.AvailableTrains() or []
File "/usr/local/lib/freenasOS/Configuration.py", line 960, in AvailableTrains
fileref = self.TryGetNetworkFile(file=TRAIN_FILE, reason="FetchTrains")
File "/usr/local/lib/freenasOS/Configuration.py", line 728, in TryGetNetworkFile
raise url_exc
URLError: <urlopen error [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known>

After doing research I realized that reinstalling FreeNAS should hopefully fix the problem. If I save a backup and reinstall a fresh copy of 11 will I be able to restore it from my 9.10 backup or are they not compatible with each other? If they are not compatible will I be able to at least get my volumes back up if i reinstall 9.10 and upgrade from there? I forgot everything I know about FreeNAS so be easy on me as I haven't gone into my system for 8 months!
