I may be over my head here.

Looks like you have a dead disk. You need to identify and replace it. See https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?resources/replacing-a-failed-failing-disk.75/

No, the disk serial numbers. They're in the "view disks" screen.

Well done, you found a way to survive a drive failure without losing data!

Your data was still live and accessible even after losing a drive, most people lose data or have to use a backup copy.

So . . When I took it apart, I found a SATA cable that was intermittent. Problem solved - Thanks everyone!
