Hello,

Is there any way to install virtual box as a plugin?

There is not currently a plugin for virtualbox. http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Plugins has instructions for installing non-plugin software and making new plugins.

There's another thread where this was discussed in detail. It requires loading some kernel modules. Not impossible, but it'll take time to get to.
