Hardware:
X9SCM-F Motherboard
Rocketfish RF825VA - UPS
24GB ram
Xeon CPU E31230
4x3tb pool
2x180gb pool
I have my bootpool on mirrored 8gb usb sticks - important to note due to usb errors?
Software:
FreeNAS-9.10.2-U6
This is what my daily report looks like:
And on and on and on.
I have looked at these two threads for help:
https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/logs-show-almost-daily-ups-disconnection.25032/
then I thought I might just change the emailer:
https://forums.freenas.org/index.ph...s-email-notifier-to-add-ups-attributes.27587/
So here is what my ups service settings currently look like:
https://ibb.co/ma4jam
You can see I have added a few things in ups.conf and upsd.conf based on things I have read in various threads. Also you can see I turned emails off.
It seems important to note that the power went out the other day and the UPS properly shut down my server based on the time I had set.
Any ideas for help on this??
I have tried different USB cables and ports with no changes. Also this has been going on for some time now. As the UPS is working it has been lower on my priority list to fix and I have been tinkering for some time. BUT this same UPS worked fine without errors on a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard and I only had errors once I moved up to the Supermicro board.
My latest thought is to get some sort of cable adapter to plug it into the serial port to reduce the USB load. But I realize that thought is craziness and so before I head down that road I wanted to reach out for help.
Thanks!
