I don't work for Staples, but here in the United States they are all over the place like weeds. Seems they are running a promotion of 5.99 for USB thumb drives... I don't know the make or quality, but if they boot FreNAS then who cares... Might be a good time to stock up .

I went to my local Staples store in Greenbelt, Maryland and they did have a discreet rack advertising $5.99 thumb drives. By the time I got there in the late afternoon there were no drives left. However, I did get two PNY brand, Class 4, SDHC cards in 4 Gb capacity for $10.00 each. Plus the exercise of walking to the store and back rather than driving there.

I discovered that Class 4 SDHC cards are so slow, I'll have spider webs spun across my arms before FreeNAS 8.0.1 finishes booting off them. Maybe I better go to MicroCenter and get a USB drive.
