I have been trying to read what I need to do to upgrade my aging 9.3 FreeNAS system to 11.x
1) The docs tell me to make sure there is a passphrase on my encryption key if the disks/volumes/pools are encrypted. I cannot tell whether they are encrypted or not. How would I check this?
2) The upgrade path seems to be that I upgrade from 9.3 to 9.10.x and then upgrade to 11.something. Is that correct? Should I skip the 9.10 stage and go straight from 9.3 to 11.2.U7? Are there any more steps I should be following? I see mention that upgrading straight to 11.2.U7 might be a mistake.
My setup is fairly vanilla and not very big. I am beginning to think re-installing a brand new system might be the easiest option.
