Questions About Upgrade (GELI and Version Jump)

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade a FreeNAS server currently on FreeNAS-11-STABLE (11.1-U7). I've read through the documentation and am left with a couple of questions:

1. In section 2.5.2, item 2 it is stated "f any pools are encrypted, remember to set a passphrase...". My pool is encrypted but currently there is no passphrase set. I do have a copy of the key and recovery key. Does the statement in the documentation imply I must set a passphrase? Or is having the keys enough?
2. When performing the upgrade should I first upgrade to 11.2 and then to 11.3 or is it ok to jump straight to 11.3?
