I've attempted to import an NTFS volume ... apparently it was successful ... of course I can't read the data on it ... but how do I unimport it now? I've tried to umount it and I've looked through the GUI and user guide and forums to no avail. Can someone please tell me how to safely detach this drive? Thanks!

I was able to do this by:
  • powering down the server
  • disconnecting the usb connection
  • powering up the server
  • going to view volumes ... clicking on the volume I want to detach ... finally the detach icon appears at the bottom of the dialogue
  • clicking on the detach icon ... after a bit of processing ... the volume in the left-hand tree is removed.

Hi rhdinah,

I am facing the exact same problem, and this is the only thread I found :)

Unfortunately, for my case, I followed your steps upto the second last step. I don't see the "detach" icon appear anywhere on the GUI. I have no choice but to go for a "Factory Reset".

Btw, regarding reading data from this imported NTFS volume, u can use the Shell. There is a "Shell" on the left panel. Select that and then do "cd /mnt" and u will see ur imported volume. From there u can try the usual Linux copy command from disk to disk.
