unable to make bootable usb

originally i tried to burn the iso onto a cd and go from there. that didn't work. so i went back to ubuntu 12.04 and tried to make a bootable usb. however the file i downloaded will not load into start up disk creator.

also the USB is a 32GB Toshiba USB. i have tried having the usb formatted as FAT32 and NFTS

anyone else having this problem?

Define didn't work.

didn't work as in when i tried to boot up from it i got this

STATA 3: None

I think that only works with Ubuntu ISOs.

and got

and got

and it matches the checksum on the download page

That doesn't meet the minimum requirements for a 9.3.x install, which is why it is failing. You can try installing an older version of FreeNAS or another NAS such as NAS4Free.

While that may or may not support the necessary firmware to boot from a freenas USB, it most certainly doesn't meet the minimum hardware for freenas.

i just trying it again with my other system, and it still didn't work. i got a blank screen with GRUB on it and thats it
