I get the following error when checking for updates on TrueNAS-12.0-BETA:

Unable to connect to url https://update-master.ixsystems.com/TrueNAS/trains.txt: Automatic update check failed. Please check system network settings.

When i paste that link in a browser it resolves correctly. All net work settings are correct and I can resolve and ping update-master.ixsystems.com from the shell. Is anyone else having this issue, do I need to raise a bug?

Ok I found the problem. It was the system date/time. I updated the NTP server to one a local server and the time is correct now and the update check completes successfully.

Can you elaborate on this? I'm having the same issue. I can reach it from outside the network and can ping from the server, but update won't work. My NTP servers are the same as they always, including a nist.gov one and three freebsd ones.

From the command line type date to see if it's correct.

I am seeing the same error without LAG. I can resolve the IP of update-master.ixsystems.com but I cannot reach it (https or ping) neither from the nas nor any other PC in my network. My time is synchronized and displayed correctly. This was not an issue before I updated to TrueNAS Core 12.0-U1
