UEFI only works when using F12

I looked around but could not find an answer for this, and this may not even be the right place to ask but...

When I boot from the USB stick, it only works if I do the F12 "one time boot device select" option to the UEFI: USB drive. If I let it go auto, it wont start, just hangs... Legacy mode (BIOS) won't work either. Any thoughts?

You have to tell us what hardware you have, if we are to have any hope of giving useful advice...

Thanks @Ericloewe, lol, clearly I was lacking details. But, it turns out I didn't google this quite right because there's a known bug report on my issue already:
