The auto-update feature gives an error "not found". The console window shows HTTP Error 404 for the Manifest according to manage.py, so it's not a connectivity issue; rather, the files are not arranged on the server in the way that the script is expecting.
I go to the server shown (http://update.freenas.org/FreeNAS) and download LATEST from http://update.freenas.org/FreeNAS/FreeNAS-9.10-STABLE/LATEST, and try the manual upgrade button. I point to the file on my local PC, but what's the SHA256? I don't see that listed on the server page.
Browsing the instruction manual, Figure 2.5d doesn't match the location where Upgrade is kicked off from, but the dialog boxes match what I'm seeing for the actual process.
“…downloaded .txz file, then paste its SHA256 sum.”
Well, the file is called LATEST and none of the files there end in .txz. There are no associated SHA256 values listed anywhere on the above website nor are any of the files here seemingly a text file containing them.
So, what's the real procedure?
