Truenas stops responding after activating Active Directory integration

We received our new Truenas a few weeks ago. Got everything configured for a SAMBA share. So the system was working fine with local accounts. I then created a new computer account in our AD and had it join. After a few minutes the NAS stops responding to requests. I go to the login page and I get a Truenas banner then I receive the notification: Connecting to FreeNAS ... Make sure the FreeNAS system is powered on and connected to the network.

I can hard boot the system and get in to disable the integration. However, if I take more than 3-5 minutes, the system becomes unresponsive. FYI, I used the web page built into Truenas to configure the AD integration.
