I just installed TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1 and followed the instructions here (https://www.truenas.com/docs/scale/scaletutorials/credentials/managelocalusersscale/) for adding an admin account (except root is not available to select in the auxiliary groups dropdown) and when I try to login using the admin account, I get the same username or password is incorrect error message. Reading through this full thread, I don't see a reply that addresses fixing this issue, unless I missed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is sadly not a feature on Core, only Scale.

Just to clarify, shouldn't it function just like I was creating a standard user account? I've done that in the past on Core and it worked. Is it because I am trying to create an additional account that has administrator privileges? Thank you very much for your help.

I'm sure you haven't, because the feature does not exist on Core. Only root can log in to the WebGUI.
