Hi everyone,
i just installed

TrueNAS SCALE 22.02.1

as vm on esxi 7.
I have dedicated a sata controller and related SDD HDDs to this vm
Everything OK.
I created and shared a test folder in which I put my video.
As a media player I use my old
O2 Media HMR-600W
But I can't see the folder I shared on TRUENAS.
I state that I use this mediaplayer with several Synology NAS and unRAID and it has always worked well.
I have tried several settings on TRUENAS including SMB1 and NTLMv1 but nothing has changed.
Is there any other setting I can try to change?
I am not an expert and I apologize if this topic has already been covered several times here on the forum but I have not found any answers.
Thanks for your patience!

I'm assuming that this isn't a domain setup, so are you using the same workgroup for all devices?

Hi @wildone81,
thanks for your quick reply.....and yes, all devices are on WORKGROUP.
I will try to look at some more settings on TRUENAS but I don't know what .....

I did other tests.....
I did: NETWORK->GLOBAL CONFIGURATION->enable NetBIO-NS - ( disable mDNS and WS-Discovery but i'm not sure if it does something, perhaps i can keep them ON )
SHARES->Windows SMB shares-> config service-> ENABLE SMB support ON and NTLMv1 Auth ON

Now it works!
Maybe because my mediaplayer is old and only supports SMB1?
In your opinion, using all my devices only in my local network, do I risk something in terms of security by having SMB1 and NTLMv1 enabled?

Thanks for your patience but for me is all new!!

Turn off NTLMv1. Nothing should be using it these days.

Yes, I only use all devices on my home network.
Thanks again for the help!
At this point I ask the moderators to put SOLVED.
