Thanks for this bit of information. Upon inspection, they all look good and intact. There'a all lined up tightly in a line, so spotting a bulging one would have been noticable. The crashes only seem to to have happened with the TrueNAS VM. I didn't notice any random reboots with the other VMs or the system as a whole.Although the motherboard is unused, sometimes the electrolytic capacitors still degrade beyond operating margins (They might look like little fat cans ...near the processor socket. Look for bulging sides or leaks of a light colored caulk like goo ).
The last crash was a few days back, thankfully. Unfortunately, the problem with the iSCSI persists. And this time, manually killing and restarting the process didn't seem to fix anything. Oddly enough, another Win2k8r2 VM that I've added to this mix - as another initiator - seems to work without any issues. But, nothing I seem to do can get the Win2k16 server to connect to the target.
