Transmission crashes after upgrade

Anyone having issues with upgrading to 2.84_2 ?
I'm getting "no JSON object could be decoded"

maybe /usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/transmission/settings.json doesn't exist? unfortunately you may need to redo your transmission settings in transmission plugin menu from the left panel of the freenas interface.

hmm, actually you might want to try restarting the jail transmission is running in. might be something with the Python interface that control the plugin being to be restarted.

Tried restarting jail and nothing, also the sad part is the plugin isn't showing up on the left panel any longer.
Hmm... I'll have to see if the settings file got nuked somehow.

Yes settings.json is missing.
And since I can't get the icon on the left panel to show up, is there a default config I can place in that file for now?

If you restart transmission it will generate this.

Ideally you could find a way to get the python interface to work so you could more easily start the plugin. I tested the upgrade myself and it worked after restarting the jail, but it did wipe my config and I had to redo my options.

Can you ping the transmission jail's IP?

Sure I can ping it. I built a jail following your blog post, so I have a few plug ins in my jail.

but only transmission isn't starting or stopping from FreeNAS? =/

You could try deleting transmission and reinstalling it, but I hope that doesn't screw up the other plugins you have installed
