cannot start plex media server

After installing the plugin, when I try to turn it on I get the following error:
Oct 19 08:42:46 freenas manage.py: [plugins.utils:87] Couldn't retrieve http://10.0.0.27/plugins/plexmediaserver/2/_s/status: No JSON object could be decoded: line 1 column 0 (char 0)

and when I ry again
Oct 19 08:44:57 freenas manage.py: [freeadmin.navtree:522] An error occurred while unserializing from http://10.0.0.27/plugins/plexmediaserver/2/_s/treemenu: No JSON object could be decoded
and they alternate like this, the plugin won't come on.

How many plugins do you have? Also, did you configure the plugin before trying to start it?

plex is the second plugin I have. yes, I configured it.
I restarted the whole freenas appliance, and the plugin started to work. Did not find any instruction regarding a restart after installing a plugin.

So it sounds like it's running, maybe you could have just stopped the jail and restarted it vice rebooting the machine and hopefully that was the only problem you experience with respect to getting Plex to run.

See if you're running SSH as a service. I noticed the default settings in plex's jail in /etc rc.conf has sshd = true or something like that. Might be causing the plex_1 su: setpriority 'root' (root): Permission denied log.

The best tip here, was to activate SSH. Marcevan :)
