Write the drive serial number on a label on the face of the drive so that you can see it when it's in the case, it'll make it SO much easier to find the failing drive when the time comes.

That would be correct as I JUST read in another post - with dd.Oh good tip but with the drive cage's i bought won't freenas be able to make that drive blink ? (its how it used to work on qnap so sorry if i am saying something stupid here)
