Is there a good guide on how to test a new server / HDD before putting in to final use

I know how good delivery drivers are at looking after your drive before it arrives in your hands

Is there a good test for ECC ram

Thanks for any help

Hiren's boot CD.. Also includes WDIdle 1.0.5 if you have red/green WD drives where you need to change the idle timer.. Lots of tools out there..

What tools would you use to burn-in the HDD and test the RAM - I know Memtest is good

What would you use to make sure that the new server that you have just built is going to be robust enough to survive the next X years of use

I have got a new supermicro case with SAS backplane for 12 drives - ordered 2x M1015 ordering SuperMicro motherboard, Xeon & ECC RAM - once I get all the parts together and working I need to make sure that it will work OK

I ordered some WD Green OEM HDDs from Amazon as good price a while ago and they arrived in the bottom of a large box in anti-static bags with some paper on top to hold them in the box - I want to give a good burn-in to see if any fail early - I will use wdidle to set idle time to 300sec

What tool in Hirens would you use?
XP won't exactly recognize 4TB drives, and I won't count on DOS to do it ether.

Any other tools that I can/should run for HDD before I entrust them with my data?
