supermicro x11 ram problem

hi everyone

i know it not about of FreeNAS, i try Supermicro tech but no help

i got Supermicro X11SSL-F did have 8gb ram, now increasing it with 2x 8GB 1Rx4 PC4-2133P-RC1-11 KTH-PL421/8G 1.2v & DRAM Component Part H5AN4G4NAFR

when i insert ram as per manual says, but ram not detected,

should i do bios update? running 1.0b to 2.0c?
or just faulty ram?

The KTH-PL421/8G modules are listed as System Specific Memory for HP/Compaq systems.

I've personally had good luck with system specific DIMMS for HP or Dell on Supermicro boards in the past.
I would say that they work just fine in other systems, too.
In this case, though, they can't work because those DIMMS are Registered and the Supermicro in question supports unbuffered.

I’ve used this ram in about 4 X11ssl systems I’ve built in the last year. Good stuff. Cheap too.
