I don't know if this is considerable, but here my suggestion.
how about a GUI for transferring files?
where a user can see and administer the transfer of files from an imported volume, between internal volumes from nas itself.
a gui, where a user can use, similar to webmin.
a gui, where a user can see the transfer information such are: transfer speed, time elapsed, estimated time remaining, current file in que and source / destination.
and also a copy/sync feature that supports different copy methods, such are: Update Only, Mirror Copy and Consolidation.
