Look, I love what Freenas has given me in the way of data security and the ability to stream movies via a plex plugin. But I have absolutely no idea what I am doing half the time. I messed up and upgraded directly to 11.2-Stable via the user interface. The only reason I upgraded was that I was having streaming issues due to an improperly setup network. At first I thought it was the plex plugin and jails were the problem. I read somewhere that I should delete and reinstall the plugin - which I did. However, now I cannot see any available plugins and would like to revert to the previous version of plex 9.3.

I saved a config file but I do not understand to process for rolling back to an older version of plex. I really do not want to lose my data which I still have access to via shares. If anybody can PLEASE provide a step-by-step guide to revert back to 9.3 that would help me greatly.

I will try to provide as much information as I know how, but remember "I'm a fucking dumbass" and need everything in simple child terms. PLEASE HELP.

You should be able to select your previous (9.3) boot environment at startup from the local console. Note option #4 on this screen:

https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11.2/install.html#if-something-goes-wrong

Here's the "boot environments" section of the user guide:

https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11.2/system.html#boot-environments

You can also "activate" the 9.3 environment from System > Boot Environments in the 11.2 web UI.

If you get back to the 9.3 environment, make sure it shows as the activated boot environment.
