Hi everyone I have an annoying and strange problem

System Information
FreeNAS 11.1 U5
Nextcloud 13.0.2
PHP version 7.0.30
Storage: SMB

The problem is that I try to download files in my domain(outside the network) so the download gets stuck and after a minute - 30 seconds it fails it can be stuck at the beginning in the middle or immediatel
And the strange thing is that in my IP local network it can download no problems at all

So they told me (people here on the forum) that it was the ISP that blocked it (even though I spoke to them and they said they were not blocking anything, I do not know if to believe them)
So
For testing I opened up an FTP server through a Windows computer and connected outside the network and it was downloaded without any problems at all

Correct me if I'm wrong
There is a situation where FTP worked without problems because it was just files without all load in the background and it did not even compare correctly to Nextcloud, because Nextcloud loads much more background stuff during download?

  • And I turned to the community of nextcloud and did not answer there
  • Sorry for the English - Google translation
  • I used this guide https://forums.freenas.org/index.ph...ll-checks-passed-updated-to-use-iocage.61934/
  • I installed the jail through vent
  • I had this problem in the Owncloud plug-in but I turned to Owncloud Forum they told me it's because I'm missing PHP files so that's why I moved on to Nextcloud
So you think it's the ISP all the time despite what I mentioned above?
  • Any additional information you need just say
  • I also checked with someone who has a system setup (from the same directory) really similar to mine and everything works
  • My DNS 1.1.1.1 (https://1.1.1.1)
Someone here has a way of thinking about a solution or checking out the problem because I'm desperate and already this problem haunts me!

Thanks Itay

Anything in /var/log/messages when this issue occurs?

Also, paste the output of ifconfig between code tags.

I do not think I was able to download once as I explained above
It happened from the beginning
Also, paste the output of ifconfig between code tags.

Have you looked in the server log to see what it's reporting when the download fails?

If you mean inside the log of nextcloud then there is nothing there that will say that something has failed

No I mean the server log. Either the Nginx or Apache log depending on which server software you are using.

I use Apache.
Where its log path is located?

Yes there is. Look in the error log.

Code:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel	4550740 Jun 1 16:37 httpd-access.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 56125 May 31 17:08 httpd-error.log

There are no errors from the last period I think that from the day I installed the nextcloud and there is nothing there that seems to be a network error or a download error

Then I would look to your ISP and seek a solution with them. If there are no errors in the log and you're sure it's not your router blocking anything then that's where the problem lies.

This is what is inside the httpd-error.log
It's the last days (at the end I found them)

I do not think this is the problem because it happens even on the local network but only after you download a lot

Apache is stopping and starting for some reason and that's what's causing your problem. I'm not too familiar with apache to know where to start the troubleshooting, maybe someone more familiar with apache can help out.

But it does not seem strange that the local network is downloading good most of the times, and with it was a problem in apache then there will be a problem in the nextcloud not only downloads
