Greetings !
So i tried my Luck with FreeNAs. Watched Tutorial, looked at the Maunal and google... But i can't get the System to show up. Not under Network, neither can't i map it as a network Drive under Windows 10.
I setup the SMB Share in FreeNAS.
The Windows Network Discovery is enabled too. I also checked that SMB Direct and SMB 1.0 is enabled in Windows.
NetBIOS is enabled too.
Maybe somebody has a other idea i could try ?

Hello,

What Windows 10 version are you using? 1809? Please read this
Do you receive any error when you try to acces the sharefolder with the UNC path? It would be \\freenas ip

I had some issues trying to acces freenas SMB share using root user. Someone on this forum recommended to create a different user / group tor CIFS share.

Hey :)
I'm on Version 1803 and the other System is on 1809.
It works perfectly on the 1809 Machine. I see a PC called "FreeNas" and i can connect to it.
It's at least showing up now on the 1803 Machine, but i get the "the networking path was not found" Error.

Please try to acces the SMB share using the IP adress assigned to Freenas. I it's working you can edit your hosts file in Windows.
