Someone please help a noob installation keeps stopping flags 0x100

someone please help me i am so new to this, i have tried install from cd and usb and both times it stops at the same place <system console> at flags 0x100 i had 4 hdd installed a 70gb ide, 2 x 160gb satas and a 500gb sata and also 4gb of ram, the tower is a hp proliant ml115 thanks

NB i have tried removing the hdd and ram and using them
individually but it keeps stating the same
