Hello!

I'm fairly new to this but I'll give it a try.
I've got 4x3tb drives running in raidz1.

So, after my latest extended offline smart test I've got some errors. (8 Offline uncorrectable sectors)
Does this mean it's time to replace the disk? I've got one already on the way if this is the case.

smartctl -a /dev/ada3 gives me this.

Simple answer, yes your drive is failing. If you are still under warranty then RMA it.

More Technical Answer: While you do have Pending Sector errors the most significant issue is the SMART Extended/Long test failure. If you cannot complete the extended test then that is a failure to read the plater surface and thus a defect that you cannot get past. Eventually those pending errors would get remapped and ID 5 would increment. This is not impending doom but you have sufficient warning to order a replacement drive and swap it out (using the instructions in the user guide of course).

I suspected I would need to replace it, thank you very much for replying.

Btw, just out of curiosity. How long could I expect the disk to work with these errors? Weeks? Months?
Or is it impossible to answer?

The correct answer is "until it fails." Which we all recognize as an unsatisfying answer, which is typically why replacement is encouraged.
