1. this SMART report say "LifeTime" is 368 hours, and that is "LifeTime" of HDD (from start "born" until now), and is a verrrrry young HDD

2. what you get is what you read. The "setting/change/fine tuning etc." MUST be make from GUI to remain "persistent" in config database
TrueNAS is a appliance over a FreeBSD OS
behind of that is a API/middleware/script and other thing who make check/validation of your configuration from GUI, ONLY FROM GUI !!
is a lot of work for do that with a few click of mouse from GUI
BUT IF you know enough about FreeBSD/TueNAS can do MINOR/IMPORTANT change/settings from CLI
