Sharing iSCSI channel with 2 LUN

Hi friends,

Can I use the same iSCSI channel (NIC) to share more than one LUN?

The difference would be in the portal appointment change the port, but using the same IP.

It's works?

Yes, the network interface (and IP/port) aren't limited to one client, one LUN, or anything like that. That'd be a total usability nightmare.

I need to create an environment to test the VMware vMotion in 2 hosts. I read in some places than indicated in this case would not iSCSI but NFS. To make the scenario NFS need to increase NIC with LA, etc.

I will have problems with a iSCSI shared area between the two VMware hosts servers?

As long as you're running VMFS on it, it should be fine.

I have no idea what "LA" is or why NFS would be any more complicated.

LA = Link Aggregation. Someone had commented on exactly one possible difficulty between iscsi and vmfs.
