Scheduled smart test not running on 11.2

I have always had short smart test setup to run once a week. Last week it didn’t run so I deleted the task and set it up again in the new UI thinking that might fix it but it was supposed to run last night and my report says last test was 20 days ago, so I guess that didn’t work either.
Anyone else having these issues? Any possible fixes? Might need a bug report but I’m working 4 hours away from home.

Were you able to resolve this? If not, is there anything in /var/log/messages around the time that the test should run?

Negative.
The last time it was supposed to run was Dec. 26th at 0:00, this is the only stuff the shows up on the Dec. 26th in the messages
Code:
Dec 26 00:00:00 FreeNAS syslog-ng[2238]: Configuration reload request received, reloading configuration;
Dec 26 00:00:00 FreeNAS syslog-ng[2238]: Configuration reload finished;
Dec 26 03:45:00 FreeNAS ZFS: vdev state changed, pool_guid=9661839234133251170 vdev_guid=10979678971109352637

the boot disk was "Last Scrub Run on: December 26th 2018, 3:45:20 am"

I'm having the same problem, my scheduled smart tests don't run. This is a fresh FreeNAS 11.2 Release install not an upgrade (11.2-U1 patch was applied afterwards).

I believe that initially a scheduled short test did run once. That short test indicated a failure on one of my drives, which I replaced with a a new drive in the pool. Since then the scheduled smart tests have been modified many times, including deleting all scheduled smart tests. Changing the smart test type, the drives selected, or the schedule of the test task does not seem to have an effect. Verification of last smart test is done using smartctl -a for each drive. The current smart schedule displayed below has all four of my storage drives selected.

My /var/log/messages does not show anything amiss; just logfile turn over and configuration reload.

Thanks for mentioning this. I just noticed the same. Test was scheduled to run on the 1st and did not run. No errors that I can see.

I am experiencing the same issues. My SMART tasks are not running for over 10 days, one should have run last night.

Are you running FreeNAS 11.2 and just completed the upgrade to it? Or in other words, does this thread specifically apply to you? If it does then I'd recommend you continue to upgrade to 11.3-U4.1 and see if that fixes it. You might need to delete your SMART scheduled tests and recreate them, reboot and see if that fixes anything.

Thank you for the reply. Sorry if I posted to the wrong thread, this was the only thread I found regarding this issue. Is there another thread that you could point me to? I would appreciate that.

The system is on 11.3-U4.1. Boot environments screen shows system was installed 5/5/2020 and upgraded to 11.3-U3.1 on 5/21/2020, to 11.3-U3.2 on 7/7/2020, 11.3-U4 on 7/23/2020 and finally 11.3-U4.1 on 7/30/2020. The tasks were setup shortly after installation and were running until recently. I did delete the tasks and re-create them, I'll reboot and see if that helps.
