Hi,
I got a problem with my brand new freenas install.
On the webGUI : Account / Users
the "SAVE" button is greyed so I can't set my email address.
The only way to "SAVE" is to change "enable password login" to NO.

There is post for a bug :

https://ftp.freenas.org/issues/55845.

It is said that it's fixed in 11.2 release.

My freenas version : About --> FreeNAS-11.2-RC1

I tried to update : systme / update it is said "No updates available."

What mistake I made?

Thanks for your help

Hi there,

I am bumping this post because I am encountering the same issue on a Freenas 11.3 U3.1 (the latest as of 2020 May 24) despite it was said fixed in previous version.

This is a brand new bare metal installation of Freenas 11.3 U3.1 on a Dell server. I was able to create new user account but once the account is created, there is no way to modify the account. The symptom is pretty much the same as what was being described here by OP, except changing the password login from Yes to No doesn't make "save" button active.

I have tried changing all other fields to no avail, if I modify the username the "save" button will become active, but I don't want to change the username of existing account. And the moment you put back the original username in the field, an error message popped up underneath says "The name xxx is already in use".

Please help with this.

Thanks.

I have this in 11.3-U3.1 with a brand new user account I just created =P

I went to change the password in the GUI and it wouldn't accept any changes.

Had to do it all in a terminal instead =P
